Now what I want to know being a Tottenham fan is why we are being linked to every striker known to man? Even Thierry Henry has been linked to us and he is known to hate Tottenham and would only ever go to Arsenal.
It is not as if we need a striker yet, Berbatov hasnt gone, there has been know interest as of yet and his agent has come out saying that he would be happy to stay at Spurs if no “big” club were to make an offer. Even if Berbatov does go, we should sign a young striker at a low price and give Darren Bent the step up to starting striker.
Take his price fee out of the way, because we can’t blame him for that fee. He scored nearly 0.5 goals per game for a Charlton team that got religated and averaged about 0.4 goals per game in his time at Ipswich and Charlton. He is proven in the Premier league and if he can do it for a lower team like Charlton; then sureley with the likes of Luka Modric, Jermain Jenas, Aaron Lennon and Steed Malbranque there to provide balls to him; he could be a 30+ a season scorer.
